Jauch Quartz now have two NEW Jauch-oscillators on offer: The JO22 32.768 kHz and the JO32 32.768 kHz are particularly suitable for use in RTCs and thus for all applications that depend on precise time measurement.

Particular strengths of the new Jauch-oscillators are:
• Instead of a tuning fork crystal, the two new oscillators use an AT-cut crystal blank and thus achieve a significantly higher frequency stability of up to ± 25 ppm.
• Oscillators can be used in a temperature range from -40°C to 125°C (at ±100 ppm).
• Oscillators can be used with a variable operating voltage between 1.8 V and 3.3 V.

New oscillators JO22 32.768 kHz and JO32 32.768 kHz
Real Time Clocks (RTCs) ensure accurate time measurement in laptops, smartphones, metering and numerous other electronic devices. At the heart of each RTC there is usually a tuning fork quartz crystal with a frequency of exactly 32.768 kHz.

Jauch Quartz developed the new oscillators JO22 32.768 kHz and JO32 32.768 kHz especially for these applications. In contrast to tuning fork-based oscillators, these new Jauch components use an AT-cut quartz blank and thus feature a significantly superior frequency stability.

In a temperature range between -20°C and 70°C a frequency stability of ± 25 ppm is achieved. In the extended temperature range between -40°C and 85°C ± 30 ppm is possible and even at extreme heat of up to 125°C the oscillators reliably generate the desired frequency to ± 100 ppm.

Just like the JO22 and JO32 oscillators for the MHz range that were introduced last year, the new Jauch components for 32.768 kHz operate with a variable supply voltage between 1.8 V and 3.3 V. Within this range, variations in the operating voltage have no negative effect on frequency stability.

The JO22 32.768 kHz and the JO32 32.768 kHz have an LVCMOS-compatible output signal which is suitable for operating standard logic circuits. Thanks to their ultra-compact miniature SMD packages of only 2.5 mm x 2.0 mm x 0.8 mm and 3.2 mm x 2.5 mm x 1.0 mm, respectively, the oscillators are ideally suited for the development of particularly small PCBs and circuits within various applications.

The oscillators are 100 percent lead-free and RoHS and REACH compliant. Both components comply to conflict minerals regulations.
